Company Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and respected provider of drainage services to both commercial and domestic customers. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Drainage Engineer with CCTV expertise to join their expanding team.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, repairing, and reporting on drainage systems using advanced CCTV survey equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional team where you will play a key role in ensuring drainage systems are inspected, maintained, and repaired to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out CCTV surveys of drainage systems to identify blockages, defects, and structural conditions.
* Operate jetting, rodding, and vacuum equipment to clear and maintain drainage systems.
* Produce detailed CCTV survey reports using industry-standard software (e.g., WinCan).
* Diagnose drainage issues and recommend appropriate remedial works.
* Undertake both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
* Liaise with clients and provide clear, professional explanations of survey findings and required works.
* Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental policies at all times.
* Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are well maintained.
* Support junior colleagues where necessary.
Key Skills & Competencies
* Strong technical knowledge of drainage systems and pipework.
* Proficiency in operating CCTV survey equipment.
* Ability to interpret CCTV footage and compile accurate reports.
* Problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience as a Drainage Engineer, ideally with CCTV survey experience.
* OS19X or OS20X (CCTV inspection certification) highly desirable.
* Confined Space Training (preferred).
* High Pressure Water Jetting Association (HPWJ) certification desirable.
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
* Experience using WinCan or similar drainage reporting software advantageous.
