Assistant Support Manager

We are recruiting an Assistant Support Manager to work with our valued client who specialise in Adult Supported Living, a respected charity supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to live full, independent and fulfilling lives.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about person-centred care who is ready to support the day-to-day leadership of a dedicated support team.
The Role
As an Assistant Support Manager, you will work closely with the Support Manager to ensure high-quality care and support is delivered to individuals in line with best practice and regulatory standards.
You will help lead, motivate and develop a team of support workers while ensuring the people we support receive the highest level of care and opportunities to live meaningful lives.
Key Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day management of the service
Assist with supervising, mentoring and developing support staff
Ensure person-centred support plans are implemented and reviewed
Promote independence, choice and inclusion for the people supported
Assist with rota planning, staffing and service coordination
Ensure compliance with care standards and safeguarding procedures
Maintain accurate records and support with reporting requirements
About You
We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organised and ready to step into a leadership role.
Essential
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs
Strong communication and team leadership skills
Understanding of person-centred support
Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings/weekends
Full UK driving licence (preferred depending on service location)
Desirable
NVQ/QCF Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care
Previous experience in a senior support or team leader role
Knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding practices
