We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to support the Chief Executive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the CEO's office and maintaining momentum on key priorities. You'll need to be confident, proactive, and able to handle multiple priorities with professionalism and discretion. Welsh language skills are essential to effectively communicate and operate in our bilingual environment. Key Responsibilities Manage a busy and ever-changing diary, scheduling high-level internal and external meetings. Oversee and triage the Chief Executive's inbox, drafting responses and prioritising urgent matters. Arrange travel, logistics, and briefings for meetings and events. Liaise with senior leaders, partners, and executive offices across local government and beyond. Draft correspondence and respond to emails on behalf of the Chief Executive to keep work flowing. Take accurate, professional minutes at executive and stakeholder meetings. Maintain oversight of competing priorities, helping to keep the Chief Executive and wider team on track. Support key regional and organisational initiatives as required. About You Fluent in Welsh and English, with the ability to confidently communicate in both languages, written and spoken. Significant experience as an Executive Assistant or in a senior administrative role. Highly skilled in diary and inbox management, minute-taking, and executive correspondence. Comfortable working with senior officials, particularly within or alongside local government. A strong understanding of local government structures and democratic processes (regional understanding is a plus). Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and written skills. Discreet, trustworthy, and proactive in solving problems before they escalate. Project management experience or aptitude for keeping multiple workstreams on track is desirable.
