Role: Senior Residential Support Worker, Children's Residential Care
Location: Rochdale, OL11
Salary: £14.25–£16.50 per hour + sleep-ins (£50 per sleep-in)
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Includes evenings, weekends & sleep-ins
Setting: Children's Residential Home
Responsibilities
* Deliver person-centred care in line with individual care and placement plans
* Build positive, trusting, and therapeutic relationships with young people
* Support the development of life skills, independence, and emotional resilience
* Lead shifts confidently in the absence of management
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
* Support rota planning and ensure adequate staffing levels
Requirements
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Willingness to work towards Level 5 Leadership & Management
* Significant experience in residential childcare
* Experience supporting children with EBD/SEMH or complex needs
* Experience leading shifts and supporting junior staff
* Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
* Understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and behaviour support
