Working hours: Mon to Fri / 07:30 to 16:30 (16:00 Fridays)

Key aim of the role:
To ensure health & safety assurance across all NEO Sites, ensuring staff safety and regulatory & mandatory rules are met at all times. Support TCM’s through delivering ongoing training and explanations of any failings, whilst ensuring the Company Health & Safety Manager is aware of any challenges and risks.
To manage Health & Safety risks on site on behalf of NEO Property Solutions and PTSG.
Duties:
As our Site Health and Safety Auditor you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our site-based work complies with all health and safety regulations with a strong focus on operative safety. Your duties typically include:
* Conducting Safety Audits and Inspections: Perform comprehensive evaluations of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure assurance with safety standards.
* Reviewing Safety Plans: Support site managers safety plans to ensure they meet contract requirements and relevant health and safety regulations.
* Evaluating Safety Procedures: Analyse and verify organisational safety procedures and policies to ensure their necessity, effectiveness, and assurance with regulations.
* Providing Safety Training: Develop and deliver training programs to educate workers and management on safety protocols and best practices.
* Investigating Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations of accidents or near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
* Ensuring Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with safety regulations.
* Developing Safety Policies: Assist in the creation and implementation of health and safety policies tailored to the specific needs of the construction site or project.
* Maintaining Safety Records: Keep detailed records of safety audits, inspections, training sessions, and incident reports for assurance verification and continuous improvement.
* Advising on Safety Improvements: Provide recommendations to enhance safety measures and reduce risks on construction sites.
* Monitoring Corrective Actions: Ensure that identified safety issues are addressed promptly and effectively, and verify the implementation of corrective measures.
These duties collectively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
Person Profile (Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Experience):
Essential:
· NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum).
· Experience in construction or fire protection environment.
· Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations.
· Proven experience managing accident investigations and inspection programmes.
· Strong report writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
· IT competent (VATIX, reporting systems, Microsoft 365).
Desirable:
· NEBOSH Fire or Construction as a secondary NEBOSH qualification
· Manager and Professional CSCS White Card
· NEBOSH Diploma or working towards.
· Fire Risk Assessment qualification (FPA, IFSM, FRA accredited).
· Understanding of The Building Safety Act
· ISO Internal Auditor qualification.
· Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH / CertIOSH).
· Experience in fire protection, passive fire, or building safety compliance.
