We are committed to achieving net zero, and we need someone dedicated to the cause. Our initiatives are multi-award winning, revealing utilisation and energy waste and doing something about it. We were already energy efficient based on benchmarks, yet so far this academic year, we have further reduced our gas consumption by 23% vs last year, and we know that with your help we can go further faster.
You'll be responsible for actively managing, monitoring, and optimising the University's Building Management Systems. Your creative side will identify, design and implement new solutions where we currently lack controls.
Additionally, You'll
* Hold a recognised technical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, ONC, HNC) in building services, electrical engineering, controls engineering, or a related discipline.
* Possess significant experience in fault finding and resolving BMS-related plant and equipment issues.
* Have knowledge of energy management principles and how BMS can support carbon reduction.
* Have a demonstrable personal commitment to addressing climate change.
