The Role- SENCO
We are looking for a determined, hard-working and ambitious SENCO, who is available for a September start. The ideal candidate will be passionate about getting the best possible outcomes for children, regardless of their circumstances or starting point. As a SENCO you will lead, develop and support effective practice for pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities, English as an Additional Language and those with additional needs, to ensure that they can make excellent progress.
The School- SENCO
This is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school in Essex serving pupils from the age of 11-16. The secondary school, situated in Waltham Abbey has approximately 630 students on record. OFSTED comments on students' abilities to struggle and overcome difficult tasks; "Teachers ask challenging questions of pupils and receive detailed explanations". Pupils are challenged to think for themselves and explain their learning in a range of activities. The school is close to multiple transport links to ensure ease of commute.
