About the role – you will:
Successful candidates will be employed by Seagate to gain valuable experience in our thriving global manufacturing business while studying for a General Engineering Level 4 course with no fees or costs associated with higher education. Throughout the two years you’ll develop invaluable skills in all elements of engineering, supported by close mentorship and academic guidance from North West Regional College.
The hourly rate of pay that is offered for this role is £13.85 per hour / annual compensation paid is £28,087.80 per year.
Responsibilities
- Participate in studies one day a week and earn while you learn.
- Complete HNC General Engineering (Level 4) over 2 years at North West Regional College.
- Complete NVQ Level 2 qualifications in Engineering (over 2 years).
- Learn new technical skills to increase knowledge and ability in equipment maintenance.
- Assist in the completion of preventative maintenance as scheduled on assigned equipment.
- Assist in fault-finding and repair of unscheduled downtime.
- Comply with health and safety policy and procedures.
- Coached & mentored by a wide variety of highly skilled, diverse, and experienced people.

About you:
Applicants must have:
- UK:32 UCAS points at GCE A Level with at least one pass in a related discipline, plus pass in GCSE mathematics (or equivalent) OR a BTEC level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
- ROI:An Irish Leaving Certificate equivalent to 32 UCAS points (to include mathematics at C3).
- Contracts of employment will only be honored if you meet the 32 UCAS points
- Self-motivation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience or interest in Engineering/Maintenance with desire to work in Engineering in a world class industry.
- You must be over 18 years of age by 1st September 2026.
