You will advocate that every conversation matters; whether responding to an inbound enquiry or reaching out as part of an outbound campaign, you’ll take the time to ensure that everyone understands each customer’s needs and challenges before recommending the right BT or EE Business products for them.You’ll combine your natural communication skills with your existing sales experience to identify coaching opportunities, to drive improvements, and deliver results that meet – and often exceed – your targets. Above all, you’ll ensure every interaction is a positive one, creating a colleague and customer experience that reflects BT’s reputation for trust, expertise and innovation.You’ll deliver defined revenue, product volume and quality targets through the acquisition, up-sell and retention of UK SME customers.The Customer Growth Team Leader plays a key role in effectively managing a team of business sales advisors to retain and grow our small and medium business customer base.This role requires strong communication, leadership, commercial judgement, and flexibility to support business needs.By helping to deliver compliant, value‑led conversations and supporting key customer programmes, the role plays a direct part in strengthening long‑term customer relationships while supporting wider transformation and efficiency goals.What you’ll be doingMotivate and lead a team of desk based sales agents to proactively sell the breadth of the SME product portfolio through inbound and outbound calling to small and medium business customersMotivate and lead a team of desk based sales agents to upsell/cross-sell across the BT & EE portfolio and nurture existing customers through handling customer queries and demonstrating how our product portfolio can add value to their businessPerformance management providing coaching, development opportunities and giving appropriate recognition to drive a high performance cultureDevelop the overall capability of the team by supporting individual needs with relevant performance plans and creating career opportunitiesCollaboration by actively building relationships both internally and externally to deliver the best possible results and sharing of best practiceAchieve KPI’s to meet SLA’s by creating robust plans to drive results and remove any barriers to providing excellent customer careProvide thought leadership to win in the marketDevelop and mature sales models, making recommendations to improve model functionalities and opportunities to sell converged solutionsDevelop and mature the adoption of exemplar service within Desk Sales to drive improved retention, NPS and reduce customer churnUnderstand the market sector and share insight to the wider teamEnsure team receives all relevant communications and updates, train and develop agents to broaden skillset and be compliant in all sales activityAct as first point for any customer escalations and fully owns theseFollow agreed business policy and guidelines to meet customer needs whilst driving ownership and responsibility of customer calls ensuring every customer contact is seen as an opportunityEssential Skills / ExperienceSales experience across multiple products / brandsCustomer account management and development experienceDesirable Skills / ExperienceLeadership within a sales environmentExpertise in selling across broadband, voice, security and mobile portfoliosFace to face sales experienceExperienced in the use of CRM systemsOur PackageTailored benefits make a real difference.
