Sous Chef – North Cornwall
Salary from £32,000 per annum + excellent tips
Live-in accommodation available (off-site)

An exciting opportunity for an ambitious Sous Chef to join a well-established and highly regarded seaside restaurant, set on one of North Cornwall’s most scenic beaches. With breathtaking coastal views and a busy, thriving service, this is an excellent career move for a chef looking to grow within a strong and supportive kitchen team.
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Sous Chef who is committed to long-term development. Working closely with the senior kitchen team, you will play a key role in leading service, developing junior chefs, and maintaining high standards throughout the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Senior Chef in the day-to-day running of a busy kitchen
2. Take charge of the kitchen in the Senior Chef’s absence
3. Oversee daily food preparation and service
4. Lead, train, and mentor junior team members
5. Ensure all health & safety and food hygiene standards are met
6. Maintain a safe, efficient, and positive working environment
Skills & Experience:
7. Previous experience in a senior kitchen role (Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous)
8. Proven ability to lead, support, and motivate a team
9. Calm and effective under pressure
10. Flexible and adaptable approach to shift patterns
11. Strong team player with a desire to develop further

13. A genuine passion for quality, locally sourced food
14. Enthusiastic and positive attitude
15. Flexible and open to change
This is a permanent position, ideally suited to candidates who are available to start February.
