👩💼 Team Manager - Children's Services
📍 Location: Preston
🕘 Hours: Monday to Friday | 09:00 AM - 5:00 PM
💷 Pay: Up to £42 per hour (Umbrella)
🔍 Role Summary:
Lead and manage a dedicated children's services team to deliver high-quality support and safeguarding outcomes for children, young people, and families. Drive performance, ensure statutory compliance, and foster a positive, results-driven team culture.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
1. ✅ Deliver the team's objectives aligned with the Service Plan to meet service user needs
2. 📈 Develop and maintain a strong performance culture; manage and support staff performance
3. 🛠️ Monitor, review, and evaluate team and individual performance with corrective actions as needed
4. 🤝 Promote and support corporate values and council-wide activities
5. 🔄 Adapt services in response to policy/procedure changes
6. 🌱 Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safeguarding and specialist services
7. 💰 Ensure effective use of resources and collaborate with Early Help partners
8. 👩🎓 Support staff development through training, supervision, and guidance
9. ⚖️ Ensure compliance with statutory duties and council policies
10. 📊 Manage service demands by allocating resources according to assessed needs
11. 📑 Produce performance reports and conduct monthly team audits
12. 📝 Authorise high-quality assessments, reports, and care plans
13. 🔍 Review and recommend improvements to service delivery and processes
14. 📊 Lead performance meetings to analyze and present team data and progress
