Job Description: As an Operational Resilience Manager, you'll be the go-to expert for shaping, strengthening, and delivering our resilience strategy. There will be opportunities to design and enhance robust plans, build and maintain leading practice resilience frameworks, all to ensure that business functions are fully prepared to keep our airport running smoothly, no matter what incidents occur.
You will have the chance to collaborate closely with a diverse network of internal stakeholders, influencing decisions and embedding resilience into every part of our operation. There will be opportunities to drive alignment across teams, innovate processes, and ensure that every action we take leads to positive, reliable outcomes for the entire airport operation.
This role directly shapes the airport's ability to adapt, respond, and recover from disruptions. It is a permanent position working Monday to Friday with hybrid working arrangements.
Responsibilities:
1. Creating, maintaining, and documenting critical resilience plans held by the Operations Resilience team.
2. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure resilience of airport operations and compliance with legislative requirements.
3. Providing expertise on plan writing and assisting partner business functions.
4. Conducting regulatory-compliant exercises to test resilience arrangements and implementing improvements.
5. Ensuring resilience considerations in infrastructure, site, and business development projects.
6. Managing command and control, including ownership of the Heathrow on-call incident response structure.
7. Performing incident reporting, debriefing, and lessons learned to improve risk avoidance and operational response.
8. Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of emergency and business continuity planning.
9. Communicating and collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including in high-pressure situations.
10. Leading discussions on change and resilience accountability.
11. Demonstrating strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
12. Managing projects and ensuring their successful delivery.
