Overview
Marie Curie is seeking experienced Senior Nurses to develop a new palliative integrated discharge service from acute sites across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The service will identify patients approaching the end of life, support conversations about preferences and wishes, and coordinate holistic assessments, advance care planning, and clear treatment escalation plans. Senior Nurses will work with the Health Board’s discharge team and multidisciplinary and specialist palliative care teams to ensure safe, timely discharge to preferred settings, and will collaborate with Marie Curie’s Hospice Care at Home Service to facilitate community discharges.
What We’re Looking For
* Registered Nurse on the NMC Register with a relevant Nursing Degree.
* Proven experience in palliative care (hospice, hospital, or community).
* Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
* Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively.
* Commitment to continual professional development and reflective practice.

Salary
Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 6 (aligned with AFC) £39,263 - £47,280 pro rata per annum + enhancements.
Contract and Location
Contract: Permanent – Part-Time, 22.5 hours per week (service operates 09:00–17:00, Monday–Friday).
Based: The Senior Nurses will be based in Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda (Discharge Hub) but will work across the Health Board area as required.
