SEN Teaching Assistant – Exeter, Devon

Contract: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent
Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £90–£100 per day (depending on experience) + expenses

You’ll play a key role in providing one-to-one and small-group support, helping students achieve their potential through personalised learning and a trauma-informed approach.
About the School
Our partner school provides tailored education for students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The curriculum combines core subjects such as English, Maths and Science with PSHE and community-based activities to promote confidence, independence, and holistic development.
Key Responsibilities
Support students with SEN through personalised learning strategies
Collaborate with teachers to deliver and adapt individual learning plans
Foster a safe, calm and positive learning environment
Encourage emotional, social and academic growth
Adapt lessons and materials to meet diverse learning styles
What We’re Looking For
A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEN
Previous experience in education, care or youth support (advantageous but not essential)
Strong communication skills, patience and resilience
Full UK Driver’s Licence and access to a car
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
