We have an excellent opportunity available for a Commissioning Manager within our Adults Social Care Department. We’re looking for a Commissioning Manager - Housing, Assets and Programmes to join our Strategy, Commissioning and Performance Team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a Full Time, 1 Year Fixed Term Contract.
As the Commissioning Manager – Housing, Assets and Programmes, you will work closely with the Head of Strategic Commissioning and other members of the Strategy, Commissioning and Performance Team, to drive and implement the continuous improvement programme in Adult Social Care.
With a clear emphasis upon specialist accommodation, the drive is to deliver better opportunities and outcomes, whilst ensuring value for money and sustainable, high quality Adult Social Care services for the people of Wokingham Borough, in line with our strategic priorities set out in the Adult Social Care Strategy.

Key responsibilities:
1. To ensure that everyone in the Wokingham Borough has the support, resources and opportunities to live in a place they call home, with the people and things they love, in the communities where we look out for one another, doing the things that matter most.
2. Supporting the delivery of our ambitious Adult Social Care continuous improvement plan, with a focus upon Specialist Accommodation and Housing programme.
3. Working across Commissioning, Strategy, Housing and Operational Adult Social Care Services to strategically co-ordinate developments and operationally support good outcomes.
4. Working with our Business Change Team and colleagues from Adults Social Care to deliver an ambitious capital programme.
5. Ensuring that the services we commission are high quality, effective, demonstrate value for money and enable us to meet the requirements of the Care Act 2014 and future social care reforms.
6. To ensure that our approach to co-production is embedded to unlock a place that we call home.
Candidate requirements:
7. Degree-level, equivalent relevant professional qualifications or expertise.
8. Excellent working knowledge of utilising the built environment to achieve the objectives set out within the Care Act.
9. Ability to interrogate and analyse data & information; Experience of market and demographic analysis.
10. Experience of delivering capital projects and programmes.
11. Experience of developing and implementing policies and strategies.
