Veritas Education are currently working with a welcoming and forward‑thinking secondary school in the Dewsbury area who are seeking a committed Religious Education Teacher to join their Humanities department. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or a strong ECT looking to develop their practice in a supportive environment.
About the Role
Teaching RE across KS3-KS4
Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
Contributing to a positive learning environment where all students feel valued
Assessing, tracking, and reporting student progress in line with school and DfE expectations
Working collaboratively with the wider Humanities team
The School Is Looking For
A passionate and knowledgeable RE specialist
Someone with strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills
A teacher who can inspire curiosity and respect for different beliefs and cultures
A professional who upholds high standards in line with the DfE Teachers' Standards
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching RE in UK secondary schools
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Strong references covering the last two years
