Overview
Exciting opportunity in the lung cancer screening hub team at Wythenshawe Hospital. The post competencies may be reviewed in light of experience and developments within the service. Any review will be undertaken in conjunction with the post holder.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist nursing advice; work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Provide nurse-led clinics.
* Ability to provide health promotion and smoking cessation advice.
* Formulation of individualized care pathways with the patient and the carer.
* Work with the triage consultant in the hub.
* Request diagnostic tests for the patients.
* Be an advocate for the patients through their journey.
* Communicate scan results to patients by telephone calls.
* Knowledge of the lone working policy.
* Awareness of policies and procedures for MFT and community services in relation to working practices.
