NRL are keen to speak with Chemical Lab Analysts to join a growing business in the North East of England working at the forefront of battery technology. In this role you will support the development and operation of a world class, innovative, large-scale mass manufacturing plant. Main Objectives: The role of the Chemical Lab Analyst is to be responsible for ensuring the high performance, quality, and safety of the battery cells and modules. This role combines electrochemical testing, materials science, and manufacturing process control. The Chemical Lab Analysts supports the development, testing, and quality assurance processes to produce batteries that meet the rigorous standards required for electric vehicle applications. Additionally, the IQC Technician will work closely with engineers, manufacturing, quality assurance and R&D teams to optimize battery performance and efficiency. Outline and Responsibilities: Perform routine testing on lithium-ion battery cells to evaluate key performance indicators, such as energy density, capacity, charge/discharge efficiency, cycle life, and internal resistance. Conduct electrochemical analysis on battery components (e.g., anodes, cathodes, and electrolyte). Perform aging and durability tests under controlled conditions (temperature, humidity, charge/discharge cycles) to predict long-term battery performance and assess degradation over time. Raw material testing to test and verify t...
