🚨 Principal Civil Engineer – Water Sector (Contract)

We’re looking for an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to lead design delivery on major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of complex schemes, mentor talented teams, and drive innovative solutions that meet safety, quality, and sustainability objectives.
What you’ll do:
âś” Lead and approve design deliverables, reports, and specifications
âś” Identify efficient design solutions from scopes and site assessments
âś” Mentor engineers, CAD technicians, and graduates
âś” Ensure compliance with industry standards and formal processes
âś” Manage design change control and maintain accurate records
âś” Represent the design team at key meetings and client reviews
What we’re looking for:
🔹 10+ years’ design experience in the water industry at senior/principal level
🔹 Strong understanding of hydraulics and civil engineering principles
🔹 Chartered Engineer status
🔹 Excellent IT skills and familiarity with engineering drawing practices
Preferred:
âś… Experience across clean and wastewater schemes
âś… Knowledge of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
