SEN Primary Teacher – Manchester (September Start)

Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Primary Teacher to join a well-established Special Educational Needs school in Manchester, starting September. The school supports pupils with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), sensory processing differences, ADHD, and social/emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEN.
* Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment where pupils feel safe, confident and supported.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and the SENCO to implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
* Use creative strategies to support communication, emotional regulation and independence.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching where necessary to ensure every child can succeed.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families and multi-agency professionals.
* Promote positive behaviour and support pupils with social and emotional development.
* Contribute to the wider school community, attending staff meetings, training and enrichment activities.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching pupils with SEN—either in a mainstream or specialist setting.
* Strong understanding of a range of SEN including ASC, SLCN, MLD or ADHD.
* A compassionate, patient and adaptable approach to teaching.
* Ability to plan creatively and personalise learning for mixed ability groups.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply through Teaching Personnel).
