Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Joiners for various contracts across the Central Belt, responsible for the fabrication and assembly of wooden structures and fixtures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, demonstrating proficiency with both hand and power tools. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented and capable of performing heavy lifting, as well as having a solid understanding of various construction techniques.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture
* Perform joinery tasks with precision to ensure high-quality finishes
* Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
* Carry out roofing tasks as required, ensuring structural integrity
* Assist with construction painting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of projects
* Engage in plumbing and masonry work when necessary to support overall project completion
* Conduct electrical work within the scope of joinery projects as needed
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
Skills
* Proficient in fabrication techniques and assembly processes
* Strong knowledge of carpentry principles and practices
* Experience in joinery, with a keen eye for detail in craftsmanship
* Familiarity with hand tools such as chisels, saws, and drills
* Competent in using power tools including routers, sanders, and nail guns
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
* Basic understanding of roofing methods and materials
* Knowledge of construction painting techniques for finishing touches
* Experience in plumbing tasks related to joinery projects is advantageous
* Familiarity with masonry work to complement joinery responsibilities is beneficial
* Electrical experience is a plus, enhancing versatility on the job
