What you will do: * Act as a Designated Senior Officer for safeguarding concerns and S.42 enquiries, ensuring timely and robust responses to safeguarding issues in adherence with policy, guidance, and legislation. * Screen safeguarding referrals, make decisions on case progression, authorise safeguarding plans, ensure actions are undertaken, and record accurate case notes promptly. * Chair diverse safeguarding meetings, maintaining high standards of practice with a focus on personalised safeguarding. * Support the Deputy Team Manager and Team Manager in achieving key performance indicators in social work practice. * Collaborate with council colleagues and partner agencies to deliver person-centred outcomes while maintaining budgetary constraints. * Represent the local authority in key meetings, panels, and groups, ensuring follow-up on committed actions. * Promote adult safeguarding policies and processes internally and externally to partners. * Assist the Team Manager with recruitment responsibilities, bringing in top talent to strengthen the team.
