Overview
Full-Time, Permanent 3rd Line IT Engineer to join a growing, collaborative Service Desk team. You’ll work alongside a close-knit group of four engineers, delivering exceptional support and solving problems both collaboratively and independently. The role includes mentoring Junior Engineers and opportunities for growth through tailored training and progression plans.
Responsibilities
* Advanced Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical support for complex issues escalated from 1st/2nd line, including hardware, software, and network problems.
* Incident Management: Own escalated incidents and resolve them efficiently within agreed SLAs.
* Problem Management: Identify root causes of recurring incidents and implement long-term solutions; document findings for future reference.
* Change Management: Assess and implement changes to IT systems and infrastructure with minimal disruption.
* Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation.
* Customer Support: Interface with external vendors/3rd-party providers to resolve issues and procure hardware/software.
* Training and Mentoring: Support and guide Junior Engineers and support staff.
* On Call: Participate in monthly on-call rotation.
Your Experience
* Microsoft Windows desktop and server configuration and support.
* Microsoft Exchange On Prem and Online configuration and support.
* Terminal server environment configuration and support (Citrix, AVD, RDS).
* Active Directory configuration and administration.
* Strong knowledge of Group Policy.
* Networking: CLI, Subnetting, NAT; DNS understanding.
* Router configuration and support (Cisco, HP, Draytek).
* Firewall configuration and support (WatchGuard, SonicWALL).
* Server hardware support (HP ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge).
* Virtualization: VMware and Hyper-V (VCP is an advantage).
* Storage technologies (NAS, NetApp, Synology).
* Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, SSL Certificates.
