Foster Wales Swansea is committed to providing high-quality care for children and young people looked after by Swansea Council. We recruit, assess, and support foster carers to offer stable, nurturing homes for children who cannot live with their birth families.
We are a large and passionate team of 22 staff, including:
* 18 Social Workers
* 3 Support Workers
* 1 Business Development Officer
* Plus a dedicated business support team

About the Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:
* Assess and supervise foster carers, including completing Form F and kinship assessments.
* Hold a caseload of foster carers, providing regular supervision and support.
* Work closely with children's social workers and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes.
* Promote safeguarding and high standards of care.
* Contribute to training, development, and retention of foster carers.
Who We're Looking For
* We're seeking motivated, experienced individuals who:
* Are passionate about supporting foster carers and advocating for care-experienced children.
* Have excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
* Are confident in safeguarding procedures and child-centred practice.
* Are registered with Social Care Wales and hold a recognised social work qualification.
* Have experience in fostering or children's services (desirable but not essential).
* Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
