Job Description The Service & Team: We have an exciting opportunity to join the Solutions Hub team as a Senior End User Computing Engineer within our Change team. The Role You’ll be joining a well-established, supportive team, mainly working out of our office within Truro. Working closely with users in specifying and processing requests outside of our standard offerings or larger scale asks of standard offerings. The role approaches asked from Cornwall Council, Group of Companies and Council of Isles of Scilly in an agile way, co-ordinating with other operational teams within IS, where needed, to complete the work. They’re also responsible for ensuring that offered kit solutions align to agreed equipment sets, software, strategic goals and cyber security standards, while spotting opportunities to onboard new elements to meet business need and working with different IS teams to ensure they’re approved for use. Within our team, you’ll be working closely with Purchasing, our Goods Inwards and Stores, Onsite Support, while also dealing with other teams within IS and outside of our service such as CC Property Services, as well as external suppliers for sourcing of required kit and dealing directly with suppliers of our large contracts around End User Device (Laptops and Desktops), Mobile voice and data and Multifunction device (MFD’s). What You’ll Need To Succeed We’re looking for a candidate with sound IT knowledge and a curiosity around improvements in technology, who works well within a team, displays empathy and understands when dealing with customers, has great attention to detail and is self-motivated. Also has the ability to work on multiple workstreams concurrently and be able to change priorities quickly with changing business need.
