St Wilfrid's is a good school, effectively led by the Headteacher and the senior leadership team supported by a skilled and friendly staff and a knowledgeable well informed governing body.
The Governors are seeking to appoint two caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Assistants to join our nurturing Nursery and Reception school team, who will be working Monday to Friday, 11.30am till 1.00pm. The posts are temporary due to budget restraints caused by variability numbers of SEND children.
We would like to invite applications to join our successful and friendly school.
Your role will include:
Supervising and supporting children during lunchtime, both in the dining area and during play.
Promoting positive behaviour, safety and engagement during the lunch period.
To provide 1:1 support to a child with additional needs, helping them feel safe, included and supported during lunch and playtimes.
To work with our Nursery team to support the children during lunchtime cover.
We are looking for someone who:
Is kind, patient and approachable.
Has experience working with young children (experience with additional needs is desirable but not essential).
Works well as part of a team and can also use initiative.
Is committed to ensuring all children feel valued and included.
