As a Graduate Project Controller, you'll gain hands-on experience working on various projects across sectors such as healthcare and hotels. You'll collaborate with Project Leaders, Engineers, and Commercial teams to deliver planning, scheduling, and performance tracking services. This role offers exposure to all aspects of project controls, enabling you to discover your preferred area of specialization.
* Supporting planning, cost control, and resource management activities
* Assisting with forecasting and performance tracking
* Participating in post-project reviews and lessons learned
* Using tools like Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and others to build reports and schedules
* Supporting risk identification and management, issues, and change control processes
* Attending project meetings, capturing actions, and collaborating with the team
* Gaining insight into the commercial aspects of project delivery
* Supporting project governance by maintaining clear and organized documentation
* Assisting with internal and client reporting
Communication will be central to your work. You'll coordinate with project leads, engineers, and finance teams to share updates, raise concerns, and help deliver successful projects. Mentorship and a structured development plan will support your growth into a project controls professional.
We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented graduate ready to start a career in project controls. Ideally, you will have:
* An expected or achieved 2.1 or above in a relevant degree
* Numeracy skills and comfort working with data and spreadsheets
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and openness to learning new tools
* An interest in project planning and delivery within the built environment
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team and independently
* Any industry-related experience (placement or internship) is advantageous
