Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. As a key member of our kitchen, you will support the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. Duties

* Assist the Head Chef in planning and developing menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.
* Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
* Manage food production activities, including portion control, presentation, and quality assurance.
* Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen operations.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Train new team members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.

Requirements

* Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment.
* Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation.
* Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Solid knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
* Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
* Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines and techniques.
* Experience in serving customers directly or managing service operations is advantageous.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Pay: £28,420.00-£30,902.71 per year
