Main duties of the job As a Pleural Nurse Practitioner, You Will Act as a key worker for patients with pleural disease, providing expert clinical care and support throughout their treatment journey. Collaborate with senior pleural practitioners and the pleural fellow to drive service development and innovation. Serve as a clinical resource for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals across the Health Board. Participate in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including pleural interventions. Support education, training, and research initiatives within the respiratory team. Deliver specialist nursing care for patients with pleural disease in inpatient and outpatient settings. Perform pleural procedures under supervision while developing advanced clinical skills. Act as a role model by promoting best practice and maintaining high standards of care. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care. Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
