As we continue to grow, we are now looking for a professional, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our Suzuki team in Ipswich, supporting our aftersales operation and ensuring every customer receives a first-class service experience. About the Role As a Service Advisor, you will be the key link between our customers and the workshop team. You’ll be responsible for managing service enquiries and bookings, keeping customers informed throughout their vehicle’s visit, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with customer expectations. You will handle service diaries, prepare estimates, upsell additional work where appropriate, and make sure all administration is completed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Welcome and greet customers in a friendly, professional manner Schedule appointments and manage the daily and forward service diary Provide accurate estimates and quotations for service and repair work Upsell additional services, repairs, and products where appropriate Communicate clearly and effectively with the workshop team to ensure timely completion of work Keep customers updated on progress and obtain authorisation for any additional work Follow up on completed work to ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, vehicle details, and service work Ideal Candidate Previous experience in a Service Advisor or similar customer-facing role, ideally within an automotive dealership but not essential Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a professional and friendly manner Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a busy environment Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with customers and colleagues Familiarity with automotive systems and terminology is advantageous Confident using computer systems and able to learn new software quickly Local to Ipswich or able to reliably commute What We Offer Competitive salary structure Cycle to Work Scheme Auto-Enrolment Pension Death in Service Benefit Staff Discounts on servicing, parts, and vehicles Optional Healthcare Scheme PPE Supplied Ongoing Training & Development Opportunities Access to Financial Support & Advice Supportive, inclusive team environment Equality & Inclusion John Banks Group is an equal opportunities employer.
