The Role: We have an exciting vacancy for a permanent full-time Lecturer in Maths within our maths team. You will teach on a variety of A level & GCSE Maths courses. The ability to teach on A Level Maths/Further Maths is essential. The highly successful team has a strong teamwork ethic and prides itself to be at the forefront of pedagogy and course development. Key responsibilities: To plan and deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment in line with college standards and meet awarding body expectations. To develop schemes of learning and work (SOLW) /materials in line with course aims, objectives, mode of assessment and accreditation. To identify students requiring extra support and refer them to Additional Learner Support and plan for inclusive approaches in class delivery as appropriately against EHCP and support plans. To maintain high standards of student conduct by monitoring and supporting positive behaviours To liaise with parents/carers and external agencies as appropriate to provide pastoral care. Our Ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience. A full level 5 teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or DET) 1st Degree or equivalent in a related subject Experience teaching on a range of programmes in a school or post 16 environment Up to date knowledge of the latest developments in vocational and academic education and training Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults All employment offers are made subject to checks, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines.
