The role
Role: Network Architect
Location: London - predominantly remote but must be willing to travel to London site as and when requested
Duration: 12 Months
Day rate: £715 Inside IR35
Active SC clearance required due to project restrictions
Role Description:
- Network Architect responsible for key aspects of design, implementation and evolution of network architecture for the programme.
- Role requires deep network technical expertise and strategic planning and leadership skills to ensure delivery of a mission critical, robust, highly resilient, scalable, secure and high-performing network solution
- Candidates need to work closely with the Design Authority team, Data Center Infrastructure Supplier and Security Teams to align the overall network approach and delivery
Required Skills:
- Proven track record in network architecture / engineering and network delivery on-prem and integration with Cloud solutions in a complex large-scale programme
- Expertise in routing, switching, load balancing, VPN, Data Center LAN, Data Center WAN, DNS and network segmentation
- Familiarity with Network Automation and monitoring tooling
- In-depth understanding of network security principles
- Experience in supplier management and contract negotiations
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, team leadership and communications skills
