Employment Type: Full‑Time, 5 days over 7 every other weekend, 08:00‑16:30. £14.25 ph
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Catering Supervisor to join our contract catering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about food service, customer satisfaction, and leading a team in a fast‑paced environment.
As Catering Supervisor, you will support the day‑to‑day operation of the catering service, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, customer service, and operational efficiency are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support catering staff during daily service.
* Ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently delivered.
* Assist with food preparation, presentation, and service.
* Monitor food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
* Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control.
* Support staff training, development, and performance management.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements.
* Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
* Assist with cash handling and daily reporting where required.
* Help achieve financial targets and minimise waste.
Job Description
* Supervision – looking after vending account: Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback to maintain a high level of performance.
* Quality Control: Monitor stock and presentation, and service standards to ensure they meet or exceed customer expectations. Address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Customer Service: Foster positive relationships with clients and guests, addressing their needs and concerns. Handle customer inquiries, requests, and special dietary requirements with professionalism and courtesy. Be curious, solicit feedback from clients to continuously improve catering services.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Previous experience commensurate with role.
* Have a contagious passion for food and customer service.
* You draw satisfaction from supervising, training, and supporting a team.
* Understanding of delegation and influencing skills.
* Excellent organisational abilities; high attention to detail.
* Concise and effective verbal and written communication.
* Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution‑oriented perspective.
