As a highly experienced 3rd line Infrastructure Engineer, your expertise will be central to the delivery, support, and optimisation of existing and new technology solutions across our on-premise and cloud-smart infrastructure estate.
What you’ll do
The Specialist ¦ ICT Technical Services – Infrastructure will be involved in the following activities:
* Administer, monitor, and optimise a Microsoft-based infrastructure, including Active Directory, in a multi-site enterprise environment.
* Own end-to-end troubleshooting and performance management across LAN, WAN, routing, switching, and virtualised infrastructure.
* Manage enterprise compute and storage platforms, including SAN, NAS, backup solutions, and server hardware.
* Act as the technical escalation point for complex incidents, coordinating with internal teams and third-party suppliers.
* Deliver new technology solutions across the full project lifecycle, from scoping and requirements gathering through to handover and documentation.
* Contribute to the design and maintenance of a secure infrastructure, managing risks and implementing appropriate controls.
What you’ll bring
* Minimum 5 years of experience delivering enterprise infrastructure services, including data centre networking (Dell S-Series).
* Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Active Directory, OSPF routing, VPNs, and firewalls (SonicWALL, pfSense advantageous).
* Proven expertise in virtualisation technologies, particularly VMware vSphere 8+, vCenter, SRM, and Hyper-V.
* Experience with enterprise storage and backup solutions (Dell PowerStore and PowerProtect, Veeam advantageous).
* Experience administering M365 (Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online), Azure, Azure AD Connect, MFA, and Conditional Access.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
