Job purpose:
Assist the wider team with a variety of BAU tasks, and act as a first line of communication to the wider business. The Junior Security Analyst will represent the Security, Governance, Risk, and Compliance team, provide general assistance, help staff with compliance and governance needs, and perform groundwork with supervision and guidance from the team.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Assist the Information Security Team as necessary.
2. Learn to fill out and maintain documentation and records (DPIA, LIA, Vendor Assessments, etc.).
3. Learn to perform/coordinate risk review/management and maintain the Risk Register.
4. Act as a communication hub, ensuring requests and queries reach the right people across different companies.
5. Assist with security internal audits to provide assurance.
6. Run periodic reports and provide an overall picture of security and governance status.
7. Maintain documentation, written policies, and records.
8. Act as the first line for incident handling and provide information security advice.
9. Be a resource for Data Protection and Information Security Awareness and education, deliver in-house/on-site training.
10. Work towards tight deadlines, demonstrate great attention to detail, and communicate effectively.
11. Experience working with Data Protection Act, GDPR, ITIL, ISO 27001, or other legal or compliance frameworks.
12. Show analytical thinking and the ability to communicate analysis clearly.
