Job Duties:
* Provide tailored support and guidance to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Create engaging and interactive learning activities to enhance student learning outcomes
* Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
* Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
* Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs
* Understanding of SEN Code of Practise
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Proven experience working in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of SEMH strategies and interventions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
* Strong behaviour management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Additional training in SEMH support
* Experience with online learning platforms
Working Conditions:
This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis within an educational setting in Pitsea, Essex. The tutor may need to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and external agencies to meet the needs of Key Stage 3 students with SEMH requirements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
