Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: St Paul’s
Salary: £46,350

Alice Rose Recruitment is currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for one of our key clients, a leading M&E maintenance provider delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance across a prestigious commercial property in St Paul’s, Central London.

This is a newly awarded 5-year contract, providing long-term stability and enabling the business to expand its mechanical maintenance division. This opportunity would suit a mechanically biased engineer looking for security, progression, and exposure to a high-quality commercial environment.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial building services plant, ensuring all works are completed in line with contractual SLAs.

Servicing and maintenance of:
• Pumps, fans, and plant room equipment
• VAVs, FCUs, and AHUs
• Pressurisation units
• HIUs and CIUs
• BMS head-end systems (monitoring and basic interaction)
• HVAC plant
• Exposure to systems such as CHP, absorption chillers, vacuum waste/toilet systems, sprinkler systems, generators, and chilled beams is highly desirable
• Minor electrical works and support where required

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

• Proven experience within building services or facilities maintenance
• Strong understanding of commercial PPM and reactive maintenance within SLA guidelines
• Recognised mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent)
• Apprenticeship trained (preferred)
• Solid hands-on site experience within commercial environments
