Salisbury Trust for the Homeless is looking for a committed and compassionate Housing Officer to join our dedicated team. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals to secure and sustain accommodation, helping them build stability and independence.
As a Housing Officer, you will work directly with our customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred housing services.
Collaborative Service Delivery
* Work closely with Support Staff, Income Staff, the Service Manager and Tenancy Manager to deliver an effective and joined-up housing service.
* Build strong professional relationships to ensure our customers receive consistent and comprehensive support.
Customer Engagement
* Meet customers at supported housing properties to complete licence agreements.
* Carry out thorough property inductions, ensuring customers feel informed, welcomed and confident in their new home.

Housing Benefit & Income Support
* Complete Housing Benefit applications accurately and efficiently.
* Gather and submit all required supporting evidence within deadlines to maximise customers’ financial stability
.
Housing Support
* Support customers to understand and maintain their accommodation to a reasonable standard.
* Provide practical housing-related advice and guidance, helping to resolve issues and promote a positive living environment.
