Join to apply for the Arboricultural Consultant role at WSP in the UK & Ireland. Our Ecology and Arboriculture team works on a diverse range of projects across private and public sector clients, with flexible location across the UK.
Your responsibilities
* Site-based surveys, assessments, measurements, inspections and monitoring in relation to BS5837:2012 and tree hazard assessments.
* Collation and interpretation of arboricultural information from desk studies.
* Preparing technical reports and feasibility studies, inputting into arboricultural impact assessments and arboricultural method statements.
* Liaising with the design team to develop mitigation solutions.
* Data analysis and project management.
What we are looking for
* Enthusiasm for arboriculture and willingness to learn.
* Appropriate academic qualification in arboriculture and experience undertaking surveys.
* Experience as an arboriculture consultant and/or as a local authority tree officer or similar.
* Experience in undertaking arboriculture surveys using digital data capture.
* Experience in inputting to and producing high-quality technical arboriculture reports in support of planning applications.
* The ability to work in a pragmatic team of arboricultural, landscape and environmental professionals.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and arboricultural survey methodologies.
* The flexibility to travel and work away from home within the UK regularly.
* A desire to develop your core arboriculture and consultancy skills.
