Be the First Smile They See – Join Our Front of House Team
Receptionist (Part-Time)
Wellington Health and Fitness Club, Crowthorne
16 hours per week | 52 weeks per year | Permanent contract
Shift cover includes daytime, evenings and weekends
Wellington Health and Fitness Club is looking to appoint two part-time Receptionists to join our friendly and professional front-of-house team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant, community-focused environment where exceptional service and a warm welcome are at the heart of everything we do.
As a Receptionist, you will play a key role in ensuring that every member, guest and visitor receives a positive and professional first impression. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the reception area, handling enquiries in person and over the phone, managing bookings, and assisting with administrative tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of the Club. Your ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly and work collaboratively with colleagues will be essential to your success in this role.
The Club operates seven days a week, 363 days a year, and the role will involve working a variety of shifts across weekdays, evenings and weekends. Flexibility and reliability are therefore important, as is a genuine enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service in a busy and dynamic setting.
We are seeking individuals who are confident, organised and approachable, with strong IT and communication skills. You should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team, and able to demonstrate initiative and attention to detail in all aspects of your work. A good standard of education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, is essential, along with a sound understanding of safeguarding principles and a willingness to undertake relevant training.
Previous experience in a leisure, hospitality or customer-facing role would be advantageous, as would familiarity with leisure management or CRM systems. Training in safeguarding or first aid, and an understanding of GDPR and data protection, are also desirable.
In return, Wellington Health and Fitness Club offers an exceptional suite of staff benefits, which reflect our commitment to the wellbeing and development of our team. Full details of these benefits can be found on our recruitment website.
At Wellington Health and Fitness Club, we are proud to uphold the values of Wellington College: Kindness, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility and Courage. These values underpin our approach to service, teamwork and community engagement, and we are looking for individuals who will embody them in their day-to-day work.
Wellington Health and Fitness Club is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All applicants will be subject to appropriate pre-employment checks. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
You must have the existing right to work in the UK prior to applying.
