The Governors of Priory School in Lewes, East Sussex are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher from 1st September 2024 due to the relocation of the current post-holder. The appointment is on a full-time, permanent basis to be responsible for all aspects of Inclusion across the school.
We are looking for a highly motivated, and dynamic leader with an excellent record to lead the development of the school’s vision for Inclusion. Our school has excellent facilities and we are an integral part of an interesting town within a beautiful area, at the heart of the South Downs.
This successful candidate will be someone who:
1. Ensures the vision for the school is clearly articulated, shared, understood and acted upon effectively by all.
2. Works within the school community to translate the vision into agreed objectives and operational plans which will promote and sustain school improvement.
3. Demonstrates the vision and values in everyday work and practice
4. Motivates and works with others to create a shared culture and positive climate.
5. Ensures that strategic planning takes account of the diversity, values and experience of the school and at large.
6. In conjunction with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher for Curriculum, assist with the leadership and management of all the staff and the general organisation of the school.
The salary scale for this vacancy is Leadership Scale L17 to L21, £69,970 to £77,195.
