We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in a restaurant setting. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards
* Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and organisation
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
* Monitor food safety practices to maintain hygiene and quality standards
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety
* Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist in ordering as necessary
Requirements
* Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant environment
* Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
* A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes
* Previous kitchen or culinary experience is highly desirable
