Warehouse Operative - Brewpoint Brewery - Bedford, Bedfordshire Company Description Brewpoint is our £30,000 hl/annum state of the art brewery and venue on edge of Bedford. Based at our warehouse off Mile Road, we are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our small team. The role will be responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant warehouse, picking, forklift operations, loading collections, unloading deliveries, and recording data into Navision with accuracy. The Warehouse Operative will play a crucial role in ensuring product is with our customers in full and on time, therefore you will be flexible in your working hours to ensure your team can deliver the transport Plan. You will be required to drive a company van for local Free-Trade deliveries, so a full clean Driving Licence is essential. THIS ROLE INVOLVES BEING ON YOUR FEET ALL DAY AND HEAVY LIFTING YOU WILL NEED TO BE PHYSICALLY FIT. Position This role requires independent working at our remote warehouse and includes: o Maintaining a safe and clean environment for all team members and customers. o Ensure daily Health & Safety GEMBA walks are completed and closing out Alert65 actions. o Understand & comply with warehouse risk assessments. o Support Logistics & Warehouse Lead with responsibilities in keeping warehouse site secure. o Achieve Supply & Warehouse Key Performance Indicators with a focus on Zero Lost Time Incidents and Perfect Order delivery. o Conduct Forklift Checks daily, reporting any faults to Logistics & Warehouse Lead. o Conduct daily and weekly picking, delivery and collection activities based on Transport and Loading Plan. o Check delivery or collection paperwork matches goods being unloaded/loaded. o Conduct standard administration tasks in excel, HMRC, CMR, and NAV as required to ensure systems accuracy and compliance. o Conduct weekly stock counts and rectify discrepancies in NAV. o Work in line with Standard Operations Procedures and Risk Assessments, becoming fully trained in all warehouse operations. o Carry our daily temperature and pest control checks. o Maintain quality on hold procedures within the warehouse. o Support Logistics & Warehouse Lead with traceability and product recall procedures. o Identify opportunities to remove non-value adding activities, work with Logistics & Warehouse Lead on implementation of savings. o Support Brewery team when warehouse operations and administrative activities are completed. Requirements Min 2 years proven experience in a warehouse environment Strong understanding of safety protocols and warehouse processes. Excellent communication and people skills. Problem-solving attitude. Knowledge of 5S principles and Standard Work procedures. Familiarity with inventory management and stock control. A customer-conscious mentality at all times FLT License & DL Strong computer literacy within Microsoft suite, ERP and WMS.
