Teacher of Maths (Maternity Cover) Start date: September 2026
Salary: Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (suitable for ECTs)
Costello School is a Good school with Outstanding features – Ofsted, Nov 2021. The school is very popular, regularly oversubscribed and growing. Do you thrive on those lightbulb moments when maths 'just clicks' with young people? Do you want to work in a team where everyone else does too? Then we'd love to hear from you, to complement our team of subject specialists. We will join a close-knit team that are achieving special things, with GCSE results well above national, and that is at the forefront of learning in maths, including our mastery approach.
We invest heavily in CPD/training and have fantastic links with other schools and professional organisations. New ideas and approaches are welcomed with open arms and coaching is used to unlock potential. We work very closely with our 'family' of partner schools and are currently the strategic lead for a unique teaching and learning project. As part of the Bohunt Education Trust, there are plenty of opportunities for support, development and progression.
We have a strong desire to create a unique, innovative and rich educational climate underpinned by co-planning and collaboration between professionals, which has the possibility to lead to additional responsibilities.
