About the Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join welcoming Primary School. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the early years of children's education. The role is working 1:1 with a pupil with social and emotional needs 2/3 days a week with the potential of going permanent with the school.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities with the children
* Provide personal care assistance, including toileting, changing, and hygiene support
* Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
* Support children's social, emotional, and academic development
* Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and resource management
* Work with individual children and small groups to reinforce learning
* Maintain accurate records and observations of children's progress
Essential Requirements
* Experience working with young children, ideally in an educational setting
* Willingness and ability to provide personal care with sensitivity and professionalism
* Patient, warm, and approachable manner
* Good communication skills with children, staff, and parents
* Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
