Role
The HR Business Partner is responsible for business partnering with first line managers, leading the business response to absence and ER cases, and managing a range of projects that support our site and drive the business forward. This position reports to the Senior HR Business Partner and is part of the wider UK HR Team. This role is located in Ilfracombe and will be on-site.
Responsibilities
* Pro-actively assist and advise managers on human resource issues in accordance with employment law, best practice, policies and procedures, and terms and conditions of employment.
* Assist in the Growth & Development of associates by promoting talent processes and ensuring managers are supported to coach and develop their team.
* Lead the site absence management program, advise on absence issues, and ensure long-term corrective solutions.
* Management and upkeep of the company’s absence management system.
* Compile daily/weekly/monthly data outlining key HR activities, trends and progress against KPIs and site/department objectives; maintain visual management displays where appropriate.
* Ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated effectively.
* Coordinate the annual Performance Appraisal Scheme for all OBT band associates to support development.
* Coordinate the utilisation of Wellbeing Provision, including supporting with occupational health and leading wellbeing activities where required.
* Provide advice and support to associates on HR and employment matters including policy interpretation.
Qualifications
* CIPD qualified level 5 minimum
* Degree level education or time served equivalent
* At least 3 years of HR experience within a large multi-national organisation in a HR Manager / Senior HR Advisor role
* Excellent working knowledge of employment law and significant experience supporting disciplinary/grievance hearings up to and including dismissals
* Able to handle a varied workload, including managing project lifecycles to completion
Desirable
* Experience in change management activities with effective employee communication and engagement
* Experience in developing and maintaining cultural change processes to drive the business forward
