The Role
The Cladding Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of roofing and cladding projects. This key role will involve working closely with project managers, suppliers, and clients to price specialist systems, ensuring tenders are comprehensive and competitive.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate estimates for roofing and cladding projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
* Assess project requirements, interpret drawings, and analyse specifications.
* Price specialist systems including:
o Standing seam metalwork systems (e.g. Catnic Urban, Euroclad Veio).
o Hard metal systems (zinc, copper, coated steel, aluminium).
o Industrial cladding systems (single/double skinned and insulated systems such as Kingspan KS1000RW, Tata Trisomet).
* Liaise with project managers, suppliers, and clients to ensure clarity on project requirements.
* Compile detailed tenders, cost schedules, and supporting documentation.
* Maintain strong supplier and subcontractor relationships to secure competitive pricing.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience as an Estimator within the roofing and/or cladding sector.
* Strong knowledge of both traditional and specialist roofing systems.
* Confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and IT skills.
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities with attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines.
