This is a fantastic opportunity for theatre practitioners to enhance, expand, and develop their existing skills and knowledge in a diverse range of surgical specialties, including General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Trauma and Orthopedics, Urology, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Plastic Surgery, Head and Neck, and Maxillofacial Surgery across 19 operating theatres.
Responsibilities include delivering excellent standards of care, providing patient support throughout the peri-operative phase, advocating on behalf of patients, and undertaking the Anesthetic Practitioner role to ensure a safe environment and practice. The role involves working with and supporting other members of the multidisciplinary team, preparing and monitoring the environment of care and equipment, and supervising junior colleagues, unregistered staff, and students.
Previous theatre experience is advantageous; however, a comprehensive training package is available for newly qualified staff or those new to the theatre environment. The successful candidate should be motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering safe, high-quality care. This position requires out-of-hours work on a rotational basis.
