ABOUT THE TEAM
The finance team at Beamery adds incredible value to our business by keeping us focused on the right things. They help manage revenue and forecast reports, monitor expenses for the company and partner with all teams to ensure that we drive business outcomes that are in alignment with our values and strategic goals.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AT BEAMERY
We’re looking for a hands-on finance director to come in as a maternity leave cover and take over ownership of operational finance at Beamery. You’ll be taking the lead in ensuring the finance function is running smoothly, using state of the art systems that allow us to connect financial data with the key decision makers across the company. The role reports into the CFO and currently has 3 direct reports (Financial Controller, Accounting Manager, Jr Accountant).
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain current finance and accounting processes with a focus on in-time delivery of month end close process for a final Reporting Pack
Be in charge of current Finance tech setup including Netsuite, Precoro (procurement), Navan (Travel, T&E and Credit Cards) including banking / treasury setup
Guarantee global tax compliance (US, UK, German and Australian Tax reporting) and manage intercompany transfer pricing (policy is in place)
Leading any external Tax audits (Banks, VAT, Sales Tax, etc.)
Leading Sales Order to Invoicing process, including but not limited to: review customer SOWs and order forms, feedback to Deal Desk and Legal teams, review sales order in NetSuite, invoices review, internal and external communication with stakeholders
Providing financial information for customer RFPs, Banks KYCs, Shareholder audits and compliance
Monthly Revenue review for all revenue streams with in depth understanding of revenue recognition for subscription, professional services and passthrough revenue
Responsible for Equity accounting, including share-options
Accountability for payroll, commissions and bonus processes including ongoing liaison with the Payroll team on all related matters
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Experience of leadership within a global finance operations with a track record of delivering effectiveness & efficiency
Excellent communication, both written and verbal to inform and influence cross-functionally
Qualified accountant with strong audit and operational finance track record. Strong technical accounting and tax experience in the UK, EU and US (including Sales Tax)
Prior experience in a SaaS business required with detailed understanding of SaaS revenue recognition
In depth understanding of core financial processes and relevant systems, specifically NetSuite. Experience in process improvement & automation
History of hands-on management and build out of finance team: continuous improvement skillset to drive effectiveness in process, data and reporting paired with the ability to establish improvement mindset
Strong financial reporting and communication skills to build effective working relationships with senior stakeholders
Desire to succeed and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic organization
Must be able to start in July 2024.
