The Catering Department comprises of a large team of staff overseen by the Head of Catering. Catering is managed on a day-to-day basis by the Head Chef. The Catering Department consists of a team of chefs, front of house team, coffee shop and bar as well as casual assistants.
Full-time hours are 37.5 per week, working 10 days out of 14 on a flexible working rota basis with every other weekend off.
The Chef de Partie will work with the team to produce a wide variety of dishes for various catering demands within this busy kitchen, including College catering, formal dining, conferencing, receptions and buffets. We welcome and support new and creative approaches to cooking.
The successful candidate must be a good team player and be able to work independently to a high standard. Previous kitchen experience in a similar role, together with an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) are essential.
